Quality Standards

The MILIA PTFE factory is formally conferred with the ISO Certification for Quality Assurance and we offer products to International Standards. Our Certifications include

  • AS9100D from 2021 onwards
  • ISO 9001:2008 in 2009
  • ISO 45001 and ISO 14001 in 2011

  • The manufacturing facilities include fully weather-conditioned storage space, process controllable Paste Extruder, Hydraulic Presses, Semi-Automatic Flaring machines with temperature and movement controls, electronically controlled Sintering Ovens capable of maintaining +/-2 degrees Celsius variation at any given time with back up online AMF (Automatic Main Failure) Motor Generator set capable of going on-line within 5 seconds of sudden power failure, PC-controlled non-contact type UTM, with infra-red register facility and a range of specialised equipment for checking every extended liner as per relevant ASTM, ASME, MIL, EN, ISO AS & BS Standards.

  • We have our own in-house fabrication facilities where we fabricate steel from raw material purchased from reputed suppliers.

  • In just a decade, we managed to institutionalize all the procedures and steps to be followed at every stage of manufacture. We continuously work on maintaining comprehensive stage-wise and final Quality Assurance Records by which we are able to trace any PTFE liner back to the records.

Fabrication Inspection

  1. Material Identification (Raw materials (flanges)) – Chemical analysis and physical test, measurement

  2. Work in progress
    • WPS, PQR, WOR Tests – Physical tests (tensile and bend)
    • Cutting and edge preparation – Measurement and visual appearance
    • Fit-up and welding of extension pipes, fittings and flanges – Measurement
    • Weld checking – Visual measurement and LP exam

  3. Inspection before lining
    • Dimensional conformity – Measurement
    • Surface – Visual and gauging
    • Testing – Hydrostatic pressure test
    • Venthole – Measurement

  4. Final Inspection After Lining
    • Receipt of Resin – Scrutinizing and correlating TCs given by resin manufacturer
    • Physical properties of PTFE liner – Elongation at break, tensile strength, specific gravity
    • Finished product / PTFE lined pipes and fittings – Hydraulic test, spark test, dimensional check, visual
